Online reservations triple
In comparison with previous years, online reservations have nearly tripled, although the revenues from online sales are rather insignificant in terms of the total revenue. The number of reservations on travelport.hu increased by 50% last year, whereas it had never risen above 15% before. According to the data of the website's operator, the number of hotel room reservations has topped 10,000 in 2004. Malév Rt's revenue from online sales reached Ft 1,17 billion, which is 6.9% of the domestic sales. Malév spent Ft 90 million on the introduction of the new system last year, and is planning on investing another Ft 10 million on system development. (Vg 14) E.C.
