Food Express site in east
Food Express Kft plans to open a new site in Nyíregyháza.
In early 2005 the largest Hungarian catering company, Food Express Kft plans to open a new site in Nyíregyháza to produce and distribute food in the region. Local distribution centers are vital, since quality insurance standards require that the company's boxed foods get to the customer within 5 hours of packaging. The investment of Ft 40 million is promising not only because of the Hungarian growth, but also for possible future expansion in Russia. Food Express, who employ 480 and had a turnover of Ft 3.4 billion in 2004, is also considering a similar investment in southern Hungary and cooperation with the Austrian catering group Vivatis.
