GVH 2004 fines total Ft 8.6 billion
The Competition Office (GVH) imposed a total Ft 8.6 billion in fines last year, compared to the Ft 800 million in 2003. A record fine imposed in a motorway cartel case last summer accounted for Ft 7.4 billion of the total amount. GVH seemed to have paid special attention to to companies misleading customers too in 2004 fining companies for Ft 260 million for doing so. (Vg 4) R.G.
