The market for new cars decreased by 1.5% by the end of last November, compared to the average increase of 1.7% on European markets, according to experts. Preliminary figures show that 205,000 new cars and jeeps were sold in Hungary last year, compared to the 208.000 sold last year, which counted for a 21% rise compared to 2003. Previous expectations of economic research company GKI Gazdaságkutató Rt of a possible 4% increase in car sales in Q4 was not realized. Experts are also pessimistic about this year's prospects expecting 180.000-185.000 new car sales as a possible low. (Vg 1) R.G.
