EU subsidy for railroad lines
The European Committee has secured a total of Euro 9.1 million to prepare the preliminary studies of 3 major Hungarian transportation investments.
The European Committee has secured a total of Euro 9.1 million to prepare the preliminary studies of 3 major Hungarian transportation investments. The Szajol-Záhony train line's rehabilitation plan was awarded Euro 6 million, the Székesfehérvár-Boba line can use Euro 2 million, and the future Danube navigability investment was granted Euro 1.1 million. All the above projects are a part of Trans-European Network (TEN-T), which covers the most significant transportation corridors of the EU. The subsidy is to cover about 50% of the preliminary expenses in the planning period. The projects will be implemented sometime between 2007-2013. (Vg 3) E.C.
