Bank routes policed more often
The Hungarian Banking Association yesterday signed a cooperation agreement with law enforcement officials in an effort to put a curb on an increasing number of heists against financial institutions and make banks' money transports safer. Under the agreement, police pledged to patrol ?money routes' more frequently in future and keep closer tabs on strategic money-handling facilities. Police also agreed to provide financial institutions with more feedback on the circumstances of robberies in order to help them enhance their security. In return, banks will make recommendations on effective pre-emptive measures and take steps to up protection of personal banking data. (Vg 19) S.F.
