Prime state property soon to be sold
Two state-owned buildings on Budapest's Vörösmarty tér in Distr. 5, belonging to the Economic Ministry, will be put up for sale soon for a total Euro 16 million. One of them, facing Szende Pál utca is a 19th century building, the other on Vigadó utca was built in the 1930's. According to Attila Hopka, employee of real estate consulting company Colliers International, concerning the area's prospects, the buildings are most likely to be altered into hotels or top category apartment houses. The deadline for application for the purchase is Jan. 18, 2005. (Vg 23) R.G.
