Fake products make large inroads
The number of fake products has been increasing in the past few years, causing enormous financial damage to the EU's economy. More and more imitation clothes and shoes are being produced in Hungary, said Jenő Sipos, spokesman of The Customs and Excise Office (VPOP) There have been several hundred million forints worth of clothes with fake brand names confiscated, and they keep on finding more and more CDs and DVDs that have no security hologram on their label. Hungarian music industry is estimated to suffer from a loss of Ft 3 billion, and the national movie industry is loosing Ft 6 billion each year.
