Hazardous waste depository, n. Hungary
Pyrus-Rumpold Rt is about to increase the capacity of its hazardous waste depository in Galgamácsa (northern Hungary). The creation of 80,000 cubic meters of depository space will cost Ft 500-550 million. Construction may start March 2005 and the new dump could start operation at the end of 2005, sales and marketing director György Maár said. The company, which is owned by German Rumpold AG, already has 35,000 cubic meters of depository space. The facility was developed in last 15 years to comply the strictest environmental regulations. The company plans to extend the waste depository to a complex environmental industrial park later. (Vg 11) G.R.
