Industrial output of under 50s
Industrial output of Budapest-based companies was up 7.7% in the year to Sept. compared to the year-earlier period, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported yesterday. The survey, listing businesses with 50-plus employees, also showed sales of these companies growing by 6.8% in the same period buoyed mainly by a 13% rise in exports. In terms of the entire Pest county, production - together with sales - rose by a more robust 11% in the first nine months on the back of a 19% boost in external trade. (Vg 4) S.F.
