Vacancies by sector
The number of job vacancies for professionals jumped 23% in Q3 bolstered by a strong performance of the processing industry, which offered 18.9% of all the available jobs in Hungary in the July-Sept. period, a recent survey showed. Within the processing segment, 60% of the openings were registered in the engineering sector. The second most active sector in the third quarter was trading, where the number of job offers grew 2%, followed by the construction industry with another 2% rise. At the other end of the scale, vacancies in real estate and commercial services fell to 7% of the total. (Vg 1) S.F.
