Ft 64.3 bln earmarked for court
Next year's central budget will allocate Ft 64.3 billion for courts according to Zoltán Lomnici, chairman of the Highest Court and president of the National Judicial Council (OIT). This amount is Ft 10.8 billion shy of what OIT asked for, Lomnici also added. 80% of the financing will be spent on wages and as a 6% wage rise is secured for courts, no layoffs will be necessary. The money will cover operational costs but building reconstructions will have to be deferred. (Vg 5) R.G.
