More money for layoffs at local governments

The central government has put aside Ft 13.5 billion for the costs of layoffs at local and county governments in this year. This may be enough for financing the dismissal of roughly 13,000 employees. Local and county governments fired about four thousand employees last year with a financial help of Ft 4 billion by the Ministry of Interior. Experts see a contradiction between the financial incentives for layoffs and those legal acts that give more and more tasks to the local governments.
