Discount airlines discover regional airports
Largest European discount airline Ryanair is in ongoing negotiations with Sármellék Airport to launch schedule flights from next April onwards between Lake Balaton and London, Világgazdaság has learned. Airport operator Fly Balaton Kft. is in talks with other discount airlines and traditional ones about other services as well. Other regional airports are trying to catch up, too. The city of Pécs will decide today to build a new airport terminal at a cost of Ft 2 billion. Debrecen Airport may also launch new charter services soon.
