Tax de luxe to be introduced

Real estates worth more than Ft 100 million will be subject to a new luxury tax to be imposed by local governments from next year onwards, Világgazdaság learned. The government calculates with about 10,000 taxable flats and roughly 1,000 secondary residences. Coalition parties have already agreed on major features of the new tax so this bill may soon be passed to the parliament. The government justifies this new tax de luxe with a need for more social justice.
